Today, March 30, 2020, Gov. Mike DeWine announced the order to extend “remote schooling” until May 1, 2020 due to COVID-19. With this recent news, the majority LYSA vote ruled in favor of canceling the Spring 2020 Soccer Season. This was not an easy decision, but one that had to be made for the safety of our children, the coaches and of course, for our spectators.
We want to thank all of the parents who signed their children up to play soccer with LYSA. Refunds will be made within the upcoming weeks. Please be patient with us as we have to go through each and every player to determine the correct amount. Also, please make note that IF you paid via CHECK at the most recent sign-ups, your checks have NOT been cashed. If you have questions about payment, please contact Registrar Casey Hurst at 440-865-2422.
We want to thank all of the volunteer coaches who already made adjustments to their own schedule to revolve around our Spring Season. We appreciate your time and effort and we hope to see you in Fall 2020.
And to our parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins and friends who brave all kinds of weather to support our players — THANK YOU!
We sincerely hope you all understand our decision. We will see you all in the Fall!
Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to LYSA President Todd Miller 440-865-7398.
